Using Portupgrade in FreeBSD

To install portupgrade :

# cd /usr/ports/sysutils/portupgrade/
# make install distclean

Backup your package database before you start!

# cd /var/db
# tar cvfz var.db.pkg.tgz pkg

Fix Duplicate package or dependency:

# /usr/local/sbin/pkgdb -F

Updating All Ports:

# # /usr/local/sbin/portupgrade -ra
